John Phelan, Founder and CEO

John started Zweena in the summer of 2006. He has over 17 years of healthcare/pharmaceutical experience, in both sales and marketing with specific expertise in the managed health care and retail/wholesale pharmacy segments. John is the vision behind Zweena, having left the pharmaceutical industry to embark on what he sees as a great opportunity to help shape and influence the developing consumer healthcare movement. John currently resides in Princeton, NJ with his wife and four children.

 

Cynthia Hamburger, COO/CIO

Cynthia joined Zweena from a leading international provider of business information tools and insight where she served as global CIO and Senior Vice President of Customer Operations. She has over 25 years of leadership experience with a deep understanding of global technology management, customer service, business operations, sales and marketing, and professional services. She has demonstrated success in corporate, non-profit and government sectors.

 

Zvi Weiss, PhD, Application Development Manager

Zvi joined Zweena in 2009 with over 30 years of experience in research and development of software systems. He leads the company’s technology effort to create the next generation flagship Personal Health Record system. Zvi brings vast experience in development of Electronic Medical Record products. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technion, Haifa Israel. Following this, he served as Senior Manager of research in a major worldwide computer corporation. Zvi currently resides in New City, N.Y., with his wife.

 

Praful Shah, VP Business Development

Praful joined Zweena in November, 2008. He has more than 40 years of technical and Business Development experience with a number of public, private, and non-profit organizations including Fortune 500 companies Bell Labs, Johnson & Johnson, Lucent, AT&T, Fiserv, AT&T Technology Park & Institute and several other small/mid size companies. He has significant healthcare experience in partnerships, business development and marketing. Praful joined Zweena to lead the launch of the third generation solution into hospitals, medical tourism, and special market segments. Praful resides in Kendall Park, New Jersey with his wife.

 

Frank Sonnenberg, Clinical Team Lead

Frank Sonnenberg is a primary care internist and specialist in medical informatics. He has 25 years of experience in clinical practice and clinical informatics, managing the electronic medical record for the largest multispecialty medical group in New Jersey. He also has done research in medical decision making and clinical decision support. Frank believes that personal health records are a key component of the evolving National Health Information Network and can greatly improve the quality and safety of medical care. Frank resides in Chester, NJ with his wife and their two children.
